Samhain Gathering - our FIRST offering!

At Samhain (saw-win)

, the circle of the year has come to its final spoke in the Wheel. To the ancient Celts, Samhain marked the most important of the four fire festivals, celebrating the end of the harvest season and welcoming in the dark half of the year.Samhain is observed from sunset on October 31st to sunset on November 1st, and marks the Celtic New Year.

During Samhain, the Celts believe the veil between the worlds is especially thin. This allows spirits of all kinds to intermingle with the living. Itis also a time to honor the dead and all our ancestors. Samhain serves as a powerful reminder of the cyclical nature of life and death. In embracing the darker half of the year, we acknowledge the inevitable transitions we all face in our lives. It is a time to reflect on the past, release what no longer serves us, and set intentions for the future. The symbolism of death and rebirth weaves throughout the rituals and traditions of Samhain, encouraging personal growth and transformation.

I invite you to consider wandering to your particular place, making an offering representative of the last harvest of the season and honoring the bounty the world provides. I also invite you to call in your ancestors, share memories, express joy and grief, ask for their guidance and wisdom.
